Introduction –  Deccan Archaeological and Cultural Research Institute (DACRI) is a National Level Research Institute dedicated to promote the glorious cultural heritage and monumental grandeur of deccan region with a primary  objective is to discover, document, preserve, protect and promoting the Deccan cultural heritage.

 

DACRI advances awareness, education, online learning resources, fieldwork, publication, and research of archaeological sites and cultural heritage throughout the Deccan region.

 

DACRI collected and digitalized thousands of rare manuscripts (paper/copper/palm leaf) from early, medieval and modern periods of Deccan region.

 

DACRI identified numerous historical sites/ Documents (Megalithic burials, Sathavahana) inscriptions which exploring our past-informing our future.

To encourage and assist every effort, both individual and collective, which fosters, elevates, and advances Archaeology, History and Culture in the fields of learning .

 

To facilitate the exchange of ideas and information, and to encourage co-operation among all those interested in the study of Archaeology, History and Culture in the Deccan region.

 

To publish archaeological, Historical, Cultural findings and using all means to advance our knowledge of the past.
